Play Responsibly
Niagara Falls Casino gives you practical controls over your deposits, your stakes and your playing time. This page explains each control, how quickly changes take effect and where you can find free, confidential support.
What is our commitment to responsible play?
1.1 Our Jackpots, Promotions, Live Casino and Lobby are built for adult players who play for enjoyment and spend only amounts they can comfortably afford. Responsible play guides how we run things every day; it is not a policy we post once and leave behind.
1.2 You may sign up only where the law of your jurisdiction allows it. In all our operations, Canadian standards also guide how player identity and age are confirmed and how money laundering is prevented.
1.3 We train our support staff to recognise warning signs of harm, such as many deposits in quick succession, withdrawals that are cancelled and played again, or long sessions late into the night. When we see these signs, we may contact you, propose a limit or a break, and in serious cases restrict some account features while we speak with you.
1.4 No promotional emails or offers are sent to you during a cooling-off period or while self-exclusion is active on your account.
How do we protect minors?
2.1 Registration and wagering are open solely to people 19 or older. Your age is confirmed during identity verification, which takes place ahead of any first deposit.
2.2 Accounts held by anyone under 19 are closed as soon as we discover them. Our Underage Gambling Policy explains the full process, including advice for parents whose devices are shared.
Where can I find free help?
3.1 Free, confidential help is available from the organisations below, both for players and for the relatives and friends who care about them:
- Alberta Health Services Addiction Helpline
- BetGuard
- 211 Alberta
- ConnexOntario
- Gamblers Anonymous
3.2 Niagara Falls Casino has no connection to these organisations. Whether you reach out to them is up to you, and doing so does not affect your account with us.
3.3 If you email our support team, they can direct you to these services and place a break or an exclusion on your account at the same time.
How long before my new limits apply?
4.1 Lowering a limit is immediate. The new, lower figure applies from the moment you save it.
4.2 If you ask to raise a limit or remove it altogether, the change comes into force following a delay of 24 hours; your existing limit stays in place in the meantime.
4.3 This delay is deliberate. It allows you to step back from a decision made mid-session, and our support team is unable to shorten it.
Which tools can I set for myself?
Limits on deposits, wagers and stakes
5.1 Three types of limit are available. A deposit limit restricts how much money you add within a time frame you choose. A wager limit controls the combined value of your stakes over that same time frame, while a stake limit puts a ceiling on each individual bet.
5.2 These tools work individually, in any pair, or all three together. Each one covers every product, Live Casino tables and Jackpots games included, and you can check what is currently active from your account whenever you wish.
Reality checks and session alerts
5.3 You decide how often reality checks appear. Each one shows how long this session has run and your total winnings or losses during it, then offers three choices: keep playing, log out or open your account history.
5.4 Set a playing time limit before a session starts, and a time alert will appear once that limit is reached, keeping you aware of the minutes and hours spent at play.
Cooling-off break
5.5 Taking a cooling-off break suspends your account completely for a stretch you choose, from one day to six weeks. Deposits and gameplay stay blocked for as long as the break lasts.
5.6 Once confirmed, the break runs for its full length. Your account becomes available again automatically when it ends.
Self-exclusion
5.7 Self-exclusion is the stronger option if you want a definite stop. For the entire exclusion period your account stays locked and you receive no marketing, and we take reasonable steps to block anyone from registering another account under your name.
5.8 Once an exclusion starts, it stays in force until the period you selected has ended, and it cannot be shortened. You can set one up by emailing us or through the options in your account.
Account closure
5.9 Closing your account is also an option, whether gambling is the cause or not. If it is, please say so in your request: we will then process it as a protective measure and block the account from ever being reopened.
5.10 We pay out any real-money balance left over using an available withdrawal method, as our Terms of Use set out.
Age, ID and location checks prior to deposit
5.11 No first deposit goes through until identity checks are done: we establish your identity, check that you have reached legal age and confirm that your place of residence is within a region we serve. That way every account stays tied to the adult who rightfully holds it. Each step is laid out on our Account Verification page.
How do I examine my own play?
6.1 You can take a brief self-assessment quiz in private from within your account. Nothing you answer alters your settings.
6.2 The quiz asks questions such as:
- Do you play for longer, or spend more, than you planned?
- Do you make further deposits to win back losses?
- Have you sold possessions or taken loans to pay for gambling?
- Does cutting back leave you feeling irritable or restless?
- Has play caused tension at home, at work or with friends?
6.3 If several of these signs fit your situation, do something about it now: set up a limit or start cooling off, and get in touch with any organisation mentioned above.
How do I contact you about responsible play?
7.1 Email mail@niagarafallscasino.app. We can apply any of these tools on your behalf, explain your current settings or confirm the status of a break or exclusion.
7.2 The rules governing your account are in our Terms of Use. For how we protect the information you share with us, see How We Handle Your Data.
